Expired food sold at Sunday Lunch 29 March 2026

Can anyone who had the Spar Cape Gate Sunday Lunch 29 March 2026 advise if you also had an upset stomach, as Spar is expecting Doctors Certificates (so you must pay R600 plus) to get a refund as their food was off and they won't take responsibility! Even proof of having to take off work doesn't count. Strange that the Consumer Protection Act doesn't require such documents to be provided, instead Spar is Responsible to provide fresh food not expired and the food was purchased prior to 1pm.
