Expensive Solar Nightmare

I had a 5Kw Growatt inverter and battery backup system installed in my house by POWERTEC (PTY) ltd. that was ***** to start off with, the installation was done untidy and quite unprofessionally as I got the idea I was one of his first installations. Powertec refused me a COC on this work stating that he will only do it if I buy my panels through him as well, according to the ECB, any work done on a DB requires a supplementary COC. Due to empty promises and no further after sales service from Powertec, I decided to have Solar panels installed by Soyaphi Electical who informed me that Powertec left my DB a total mess. After Panel installation the solution didn't even run for a full day before my DB set on fire and nearly burned down my house at 04:00 the following morning. I sat without electricity for a over a week as the Town Council needed to come and switch me on again. The Growatt inverter got terminally damaged and was taken away for repairs, it is now more than a month that I am sitting with a 70K dead loss of a solution with little to no response from Soyaphi Electrical. I will create a separate review for Powertec but honestly can not recommend doing business with either of these companies. My advice, insist on technician certification papers before installation and a supplementary COC after installation, also be careful of paying too much upfront as this takes the pressure off on doing a timeous and proper job.
