Quality decreases over bank balance and sales

I use to buy these branding of shoes all my life growing up however I am disappoint in the high price and bad quality. This company needs to go back to what worked as they are giving themselves a bad name without any effort. My daughter saved from Jan 2020 to buy her dad his favourite brand of shoes for hiss birthday. A day before her dad's birthday his mompassed away however my daughter who is 17th years old went out her way on the 28th of June 2020 and purchased her dad the gift. He used it on his birthday which was his mom funeral and 3 times after but just for short events and by the 5 use the shoe is failing apart. The box is brand new and this is a leather black Soviet takkie size 11 which she ordered months in advance to only be a once use birthday gift. We try to get our kids to buy quality and use the cash wisely especially in these times only for them to be ****** by companies we use to trust ourselves growing up. How do I explain to her about the value of money and quality if Soviet an old branding couldn't keep their promise after millions later and all these years. Sis I am ashamed and well this branding will never receive recommendations not only from me but from a teenager who we all know if was sold a good product will tell her friends. The worse part is that she bought it from a local store which stocks several other brands on the south coast and the refuse to be held laible for Soviets bad and poor quality and said we should contact the brand directly which we all know is impossible because this is south africa no one takes accountability but passes blame. I don't care about my daughter not trusting my judgement in quality again however Soviet you needed to be named and shamed for you poor cheap quality that south Africans are being overcharged for. Shame on you in these hard times try to get rich.
