Shannon from Southgate Wheels assisted me with purchasing a GWM Steed 5. She was friendly, honest, and made the sales process efficient and painless. I appreciated her transparency about the vehicle’s condition and the professionalism of the sales team. However, I was disappointed to learn that they only handle change of ownership, not registration, which was inconvenient since the vehicle was from Limpopo. I was also told afterwards that the licence disc had expired, leaving me to cover a temporary permit—costs that offset my negotiated discount. Additionally, some issues weren’t disclosed: the driver’s door doesn’t unlock with the key, and the check engine light, which I was assured would be fixed before handover, came back on within 30km. I’m still waiting for my warranty documents, and the after-sales service hasn’t matched the sales experience. Overall, it was still a pleasant and efficient purchase, and I would consider buying from Shannon and her team again.
