Payment promised in 2 days. It's been over a week.

I went through the process of selling my car (Chevrolet Spark) to the Randburg branch of southgate wheels. I signed all the paperwork and handed over my key and NATIS form. Everything pertaining to the car was handed over. I then signed paperwork and was given a copy of the paperwork signed. A little worrying that I now have no handle on my car besides a single piece of paper. I was then told I will receive my money within a maximum of two days (Depending on the bank used for transfer).

4 days later I call to find out where the money is, and I'm told they're having issues with the licencing department being closed/unavailable. I am promised my money before the end of that week. I settle with this response and leave the issue until the Friday.

When I phone them back on the Friday they have managed to licence the car in their name, but I am told there was a delay with payment (Which they are not sure of) and I'm told that I will receive my money the following Monday. It's now the following Wednesday and I have yet to receive my money or ANY proof of payment from Southgate wheels, despite constant phoning to request at the very LEAST, a proof of payment.

Have you ****** my car?

I have finally received a POP from one of the receptionists and it checks out on FNB's verification. We will have to see from here. I still find this level of service unacceptable. You are, after all, dealing with somebody else's Money, and payment should NOT have taken this long.

Good day,

Our utmost apologies to you. We normally take the papers for clearance soon after purchase to ascertain ownership and validity of vehicle if ****** or clean. On the same note we do not have control over the licensing department being on and offline, hence it can take anything from 2 to 5 days. We thank you for your support and we are delighted that eventually the funds were credited into your account.
