Lair Lair..pathetic service
Bought vehicle from Southgate Wheels.Paid cash only to be given runaround for vehicle registration papers. Then when we eventually fetched the papers ourselves we found that vehicle was falsely advertised as a 2007 model wereas it was a 2006 model.Full of latent defects including cracked cyclinder head, failed clutch and not serviced despite being assured by Daniel that vehicle had new clutch replaced and service was done.Since 06 August we are struggling to get resolution from this company and being told we will sort out. Dees together with Daniel would always refer you from one to the other with lies and promises of how they trying to help which is such a load of hogwash. Then finally I was told by Dees that his larnie says that I can return the vehicle and they will refund my money only after they sell it.Dude who are you...are you not one of the owners...I was stupid the first time around dealing with you...not again. All those who want to buy cars cash from this bunch...I suggest think twice and research first.Dees and Mervin,I hope Karma is wearing stilettos when she comes knocking at your door.
WHEN the client originally purchased the vehicle , a discount of R10000,00 was given to cater for the latent defects which were evident to the customer and Daniel. The agreement was for the customer to carry the cost of all the defects as stated above and also DO his own licence and registration. It would have been folly for Soutgate Wheels or any other car dealership to agree to give a discount and carry out repairs at the same time.
Client purchased vehicle IN August 2017 and a few days later notified us of supposedly clutch malfunction of which we immediately sent a mechanic to go and check.. On arrival to the customer's domicile the mechanic did a diagnosis and discovered there was a leak of brake fluid coming from the rear plunges. After bleeding the system the clutch was then restored to normalcy. It definitely couldn't have been the clutch because the weekend prior the car had been fitted with a brand new clutch and carried a warranty on it.
When vehicle was sold to the client, Southgate Wheels was under the impression the vehicle was a 2007. We were misrepresented by the previous owner of the vehicle and that came to light WHEN the current owner came to pick the paper's after a week. At that point in time the client (new owner) had an option to return the vehicle and receive his refund in full. CLIENT opted to keep the vehicle provided we supply him with 2 tyres of which we did. So as far as we are concerned the year model is not longer in question because we fulfilled our end of the bargain. However we do have the conversation recorded telephonically.
Thank you for your business with Southgate Wheels , we did WHATEVER we could do considering we had to overlook our terms and conditions to satisfy the client.
