Just DON'T!
<div>In February 2023 I bought a 2015 Audi A7 TDI quattro from them. After being assured, that the vehicle be in top condition, roadworthied and would be looked through before delivery and everything found be fixed, I sent my in-law to have a closer look, paid the full 315K after his approval, and had him fetch it and bring it to me to Durban the next day. When I drove him to the airport after his arrival late at night, I noticed, that the wheels were wobbling, and the brakes even worse. Next day in daylight it turned out, that all tires were completely run down under 1mm, the brakes worn and the front disks bent or twisted, so above 120Km/h the car was shaking like hell and nearly undriveable. After complaing to the socalled "manager" Tariq, I was told, that the passus "roadworthied and everything faulty will be fixed at our expense" for whatever reasons did not apply, when buying cash, just when financing. So, they made it my problem. The solution was simple: Spend another 35K for tires and brakes at my local Audi Centre. :-( That two days after delivery the coolantsystem ran dry and continued to do so every week, until I had the waterpump and a valve replaced for another 42.000R at Audi in Durban, did also not impress them in any way. After I had mailed them the first quote from Audi, SGW instantly went into silentmode and were never heard of again. On top of all that, it took them over a month, to finally send out the car's papers after some slightly more intense phonecalls from my side, so that I eventually could register it here in KZN, almost 6 weeks after delivery. (The temporary license was, of course, long expired by then...). The promised servicehistory booklet also never made it here, but at least that one was to be had as printout from Audi locally. So folks, whatever car you want to buy, do yourself a favour and buy it anywhere else, but NOT at Southgate Wheels, if you are not looking for stress. No matter how good the car looks or feels, they will*** you one way or the other. I have been selling (and buying) cars professionally for over 35 years, but SGW was by far the worst experience, I ever had in that field.</div>
