Unhappy with unhygienic Stay Easy Tsogo Sun Pietermaritzburg

My husband and I had the displeasure of staying at the Stay Easy Tsogo Sun in Pietermaritzburg on the 27th and 28th of December. We were extremely unhappy with the condition of the room. It had unpleasant odour, which eminated from the filthy carpet in the room. The bathroom shower tiles were mouldy and the bathroom overall wasn't clean. The breakfast area was pathetic to say the least. One would think that Tsogo Sun would take pride in their hotels and maintain high standards. Makes one also wonder whether any of their senior management check up on this establishment to see how it is run and whether it's up to acceptable standards. One would also expect this establishment to keep up with strict covid protocols in terms of hygiene. Very disappointing stay indeed.
