Turned away for breakfast

I phoned the Medeo restaurant at the Palazzo to book for breakfast. I was told that they don't take breakfast bookings as its their busiest time. But they told us we were welcome to come and get a table on arrival. <br> <br> So we arrived for breakfast this morning. Only to be told they were fully booked. When I responded that I'd phoned and been told that they don't take bookings and how is it that they could be fully booked. The woman then told me that they actually don't take walk in customers. <br> <br> So we were turned away. I am shocked at this terrible service. How could we be told one thing on the phone and then turned away upon arrival?
