Tsogo Sun - Drakensberg Sun & RCI needs lots of work.

We have been going to Drakensburg Sun for about 30 years and have had timeshare there for just less than that. This year at the timeshare where we stayed it was terrible. This is what I found in point form as it was so much really: Drakensberg sun chalets:

No information or check lists given at check-in, I was told To take a seat and wait for the key as the room wasn’t ready at 2pm. The Key was just handed to me after 3:30pm in the bar. Dirty on patios and next to Braai hadn’t been wiped. Top balcony not cleaned once with dirty chairs and some kind of droppings in the floor. There were Holes in cushions on couches Fan falling and not stable and was the same the year before which was in the dining room but we used it in the second bedroom for the kids as it is so hot. Glasses not cleaned properly in bathroom on arrival. Looks like patios are just swept onto grass, ******* all over with food and plastic just off patios. ******* or something on roof of a few units. No aircon in rooms, just a ceiling fan which does nothing. Broken mirror in main room No privacy curtain in main bedroom any longer with broken or worn blockout on the back of the curtains. Really cheap cooking utensils like braai tongs which felt like they were going to fall apart. No WiFi Oven faulty - had to have the dial just right to have it get hot. No umbrella at the unit - miraculously appeared on Tuesday morning Finishings in lounge and dining room coming apart Tiny fridge/ freezer for a week. Step ladder left in plants the entire time we were there A zebra wandering around charging at people at the timeshare. Apparently someone who lives near by owns it. Menus at the pool typed and shoved into holders and cut out like a 4 yr old did it. With items on the menu not even making sense. A fisherman’s fold is fish and chips in a basket... On the toasted sandwiches is listed fruit skewer! The food at the Christmas lunch was the exact same as the year before but prepared worse. Meat with gravy sitting cold in a G-pan getting warm with the heat from the gel underneath which is completely dangerous from a food poisoning and bacteria point of view. Kids food options were terrible - spicy Mac and cheese and some nameless, tasteless vegan things. Service was terrible waiting ages for drinks.

The service at the hotel not much better.

This is not the kind of service or state I would expect from an RCI resort.
