The Peach Tree Restaurant at the Cullinan Hotel, Cape Town

Every year we do Christmas Lunch Buffet at one of the Tsogo Sun chain hotel restaurants and it is always a wonderful time. I last went to the Peach Tree restaurant at the Cullinan Hotel Cape Town for Christmas lunch buffet in December 2016 and paid R500 per adult and like R325 per child totally R1650 which wasn’t too bad. Last year 2018 we opted to eat at the Tsogo Sun OR Thambo Johannesburg and were charged about R400 a person and R210 per child and that’s the quote received from them for this year R410 per adult and R210 per child as well and kids still get entertainment, jumping castles and goodie bags, adults got souvenirs mugs and music entertainment but this year we wanted to go back to the Peach Tree, Cape Town as we are home for Christmas, but I was utterly disgusted to receive a quote from the the Peach Tree Restaurant for Christmas Day Lunch Buffet at R850 per person even the kids are being charged as adults at R850 Is the staff at the hotel smoking crack? How on earth in 3 years the costs have gone up over a R100 per year to eat there? Are they serving gold gold covered food? They don’t even offer entertainment or gifts or anything extra to justify the prices. How dare they charge R850 for a child to eat food??? And their food and variety isn’t even as amazing as the ones in JHB. Absolutely disgusted at why the peach tree thinks is acceptable to charge a person a child no less for food.
