Sorry, we dont knw anything

2wks ago my mom called southern sun to make a booking for my dads 65th bday celebration. We wantd 17 of his friends to join us for a breakfast at the hotel. Upon calling a lady called Emma told her no booking was needed and that we cd come and even bring his bday cake along. We wantd to pay a deposit bt she said it wasnt needed. Today, a day before his bday we called to confirm bt was told that they dnt knw anythn abt us and that now we cant come becz the restaurant was fully booked. Fully booked? U told is we didnt need to book. This is so frustrating especially after we insisted on making a booking bt was told it wasnt needed. We are now left to run abt town lookn for somewhr to accomodate us. A simple sorry was all we got bt this does not make up for my dads dissappointmnt and the fact that my parents are now fighting with each other because of the Southern Suns inability to provide us with the correct information. I expected better from a company of this calibre. What are we going to do now? Thanx guys for spoiling my dads birthday and the hostile atmosphere in our house now. ?
