Scary and disappointing incident

I checked in Thursday 18 Sept and out 19 sept 2025. I am still shocked and dissapointed with the incident.i was asleep and at around 2:am I heard someone trying to open my room door severe times.I initially thought am maybe dreaming,unfortunately I wasn’t.I remember jumping off the bed towards the door to listen carefully and on my way I literally saw the door being pushed and the little door latch inside helped me.i ran and again tightened the latch .with so much fear I ran to the phone ,call the reception and no one answered.I called the manager on duty no one answered.then after some minutes the phone rang,with fear I answered and the guy said it’s him from the hotel,the room showed empty from his side.am just still terrified on how the event unfolded and thinking all these is to be looked in further.nothing makes sense and I have unanswered questions.
