NOT SAFE IN HOTELS

Went to Southern Sun Hyde Park the other night. Checked in, went for dinner, when we came back from dinner someone had been in our room and actually stole from us. Reported it to the hotel which 'investigated' and told us that there system shows that 'our key' opened before midnight, then again after midnight (which was us when we came back) they apparently don't have survallence cameras on that floor, and therefore can't do anything about the theft, sorry.
Now, my biggest issue is not so much the theft. What would've happened if we were in the room? coz obviously we would'nt open if it was room service that we didn't request, the fact that someone else has access to my room that I've paid for at a 'high end' hotel, who can come in whenever they pleez...and take whatever they want. *** so annoyed! We not safe in hotels anymore.
