I booked for my husband and I to go for massages to Sandton Sun Spa. We have been before and always had a wonderful experience. On booking, I specified I would be 32 weeks pregnant at the time and ensured they had a masseus trained in pregnancy massage. Our appointment was confirmed last night, and again I checked about the pregnancy massage. We arrived, went to reception and were asked to wait for our allocated masseuses. The lady who would be working on me informed me that she was not trained in pregnancy massage and asked if I would like a back massage, as she was not confident to do anything else under the circumstances. Thankfully, she was honest, as she was the only staff member who alerted me to the fact that the masseus trained in pregnancy massage was off for the weekend. We returned to reception and asked for a manager, being told the manager had resigned and they were currently without. We were told to wait for a \supervisor\". In the interim a staff member rushed in announcing that she was there to do my massage, which we found very odd. Being uneasy about the situation, I declined. The supervisor was polite but ineffectual. So disappointing and concerning. "
