NO luggage scale - a first !

“Gobsmacked” is the word that comes to mind immediately when upon request for a luggage scale - only to hear that Umhlanga Sands Resort does not possess one.

A luggage scale is a Prerequisite at every hotel , big or small (being a seasoned traveller both overseas and local). This is definitely a first and is highly disappointing. We then asked the front desk to check with Cabana Beach (an apparent sister hotel). Who also does not possess a scale.

Southern Sun hotels , kindly get your house in order and furnish your staff with luggage scales. Local flight allows 20kg International 23kg Not all passengers drive.
