DO NOT CONSIDER THE BREAKERS RESORT FOR A HINDU WEDDING
Such a bad experience dealing with these people at the Breakers resort venue. They come across as very prejudiced against hindu ceremonies. The moment I mentioned my hindu ceremony, I was bombarded with excuses about how they would not allow us to light a fire under their botega tent because it would destroy their tent, and thereafter ignored every single one of my emails querying their packages. I did mislead them on another occasion going as far as pretending to be someone else looking for a reception venue and only then was I given some feedback and allowed to view their venue, but again after telling them I would also like to have the ceremony on their open grassy area(so my religious fire wouldn't 'destroy their tent) , my emails went unanswered. It's beautiful but I would never recommend this place for any kind of religious function. They claim to have done many hindu weddings, but I just went through their Facebook page and I haven't seen a single one. Ironic, considering how many of their guests are hindu. Extremely dissapointed. When I sent an email today to ask if they are prejudiced against hindu weddings, I was finally met with a response! A response telling me to find another venue because I offended them by my accusations. It wasn't an accusation at the time, it was a question, but It is now a statement. My family and I will never go back to this resort ever again.
