************** OF ANY KIND IS NOT OKAY!
Service so bad, trip had to be cut short.
A recent staycation at the Southern Sun- The Cullinan, devolved into one laced with embarrassment and disgust.
Check-in: This was sub-par and the person checking in seemed to not have the energy to engage with anyone really. The experience was cold and already set the tone for a stay at the hotel that turned out to be even worse than the sub-par checkin process had indicated.
Other than checkin, we were initially impressed with the all around good service from the staff scattered around the hotel. This was until the kids decided to go down to the pool and were stopped by a staff member who stated that "THEY DO NOT BELONG THERE" ONLY GUESTS CAN SWIM. When they advised that they are in fact guests, the staff member noted that he did not believe this as he was directed to escort them away from the pool by a staff member at the front desk.
Embarrassed and shocked, the kids came up and we swiftly went to address the matter, only to be met with denial and a shrugging off of the seriousness of the matter by the front desk task.
Needless to say, tempers flared, only to be met by bad service. Seemingly unaware of their wrongs, the staff offered no sincere apology or resolution. This resulted in a family trip cut short, and a lifetime of negative reviews of the Southern Sun.
Thank you for the worst hotel experience ever.
