Disappointed in the Sun Deck Restaurant

<p>I was extremely disappointed in the Sun Deck Restaurant. I made a reservation for a Bachelorette party 3 weeks ago, to which the lady on the phone could not get my correct name or details, after repeating myself 10 times she finally got it. She then assured me that I would receive an email for my reservation from some co-ordinator, well I’m still waiting for that email….. <br />I phoned the Thursday the 6th to confirm I actually still had a booking seeing I was waiting for an email. <br />Saturday was my friend the Brides Kitchen Tea and it was a surprise to go have the dinner on the roof of the Sandton Sun Hotel. <br />Firstly I get a call at 18h55 asking where I am as my booking was for 18h30, which had slipped my mind through all the planning. The lady proceeded to tell me I have 16 minutes to get there or my table will be given away. We asked our Uber to please speed up as I have made a mistake with the time. <br />We arrived at the restaurant just past 19h10, we went to the reception where a very rude lady met us, telling me and my bride to be that she had already given our table away and we were too late, she then told us she had been holding my table since 12pm???? WHY?? I had booked it for 18h30 and mistakenly thought it was 19h00. 30minutes grace good heavens! But no I was 7 hours late in her opinion, needless to say we were at the Kitchen Tea which was held at a different venue during the day till 15h00. Seeing though it was ****tails and Dinner not a 1 day match…..<br />She then told us well there are no tables you will need to wait 15 minutes, the bride and her 5 guests…. Turned away….. she runs off and finds us a table and takes us through within 5 minutes, with a serious attitude says to us “well is the table suitable for you?” like we some kind of arrogant woman giving her trouble, when in fact we were all so shocked we said nothing to her expect tried to be polite as could be.<br />We were too nervous to leave our table to go to the ladies in case they gave our table away.<br />Our entire evening was actually ruined by 1 person’s rude attitude that we had one drink and left. <br />Thank you so much Sun Deck Restaurant for ruining our supposed to be very nice bridal party dinner, I will never ever recommend that anyone comes here and tell everyone I know that I had the worst experience ever!<br />I expect some kind of apology from the management team for this.</p>
