Beverly Hills Hotel-Terrible service !!!

Absolutely disgusting experience!!!! I am a content creator and go around to different restaurants in Durban creating reviews. It was my husbands birthday and we booked in for lunch, to celebrate but rather his birthday was ruined !!! I am embarrassed and disgusted ! It all started at the restaurant, when I called to make a booking few weeks ago I specifically asked for the terrace seating and was told it is a first come first serve so I informed them it’s not a problem. We arrived early to make sure we get seating outside BUT we were told we can’t have the terrace seating because it is under maintenance. Furthermore, When we arrived we tried taking pictures but there were too many people around so we decided to do it later on before leaving. When we did attempt it, We noticed the photos did not come out appropriate so we went back to try again. Unfortunately we approached by the manger asking if we were guests staying over, when we informed them we are not staying over but rather having lunch, we were stopped by the manager in the middle saying we can not take pictures. They were utterly rude and disrespectful !!! Instead of calling us aside and speaking to us we were confronted as if we were being *******. We were told they noticed us taking before so if they noticed and it was not allowed why weren’t we stopped in the first place ?? We were told we are not allowed to do photoshoots and I asked her if my phone is considered a photoshoot and she said yes. This policy is not stated anywhere on their social media neither is it mentioned anywhere on their page when making a booking. We were first time guests at the restaurant trying to get a good experience of the place. We noticed many other people taking pictures but no one was stopped. We even received excuses of the Popi Act when we were simply taking off OURSELVES. What written policy is provided to people to say this is not allowed ?? But rather after we get there we are told and then what’s the point ? It’s too late ! The persons day is already ruined ! Our day has been ruined from a place that is considered to be of high reputation!!! I will definitely be spreading this all over social media so people know what disgusting service is offered. Everyone loves taking pictures and you guys just offer a beautiful place with such pathetic service what’s the use !??? For a 5 star hotel this is how you treat guests ? Just because we were not staying there ? Infact, we had been to one of your biggest competitors next door and did not enjoy the meals as much as we did at the sugar club and just before the incident we decided to book a night because our lunch was excellent. But we were embarrassed in such an unprofessional manner infront of people around us !!!!
