DON'T BUY FROM THESE *******

We proceeded to order a generator from this company at a very competitive price. Initially it took several weeks to get a response from them with an invoice.<br> <br> After payment was made, we were informed that we'll be contacted by the courier company for delivery. Next thing a freight forwarder contacts us insisting on a duties payment of R10 500.00 to release the generator. There were no supporting documentation from them, but a threat stating that failure to pay will result in increased duties per day. They claim that they can only release the documentation after payment, which we know is nonsense.<br> <br> It is our understanding that SOUTHERN BRICK should be liable for duties. As private individuals, we don't have an importers code, plus we were under the impression that the supplier is responsible for the duties on their stock that they sell. After over 10 attempts by both my partner and I, we get no response from them. We have informed them that we want to cancel our order. The last reply from DANIEL was that he's too busy to deal with us, and proceeded to hang up. These people have now ****** over R30 000 can't be bothered to reply to us or even attempt to rectify the situation.
