⭐ WARNING TO OTHER PATIENTS – PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING My family and I have had an unfortunate experience with this practice, and I feel it’s important for other patients to be aware so you don’t find yourself in the same situation. In 2023, my wife attended a dental appointment. Afterward, we received one single email with an outstanding amount (our co-payment after medical aid). We missed that email by mistake — and from that point forward, we received no further communication at all. No reminders, no follow-up emails, no statements, nothing. Fast-forward to 2024, and suddenly we were handed over to collections without ever being informed that we still owed anything. Almost 24 months later, we discovered we had been blacklisted over just R329. The lawyers confirmed this amount, and they also confirmed something even more worrying: The exact same thing happened to my mother for only R81. It now appears we are not the only ones. More patients are starting to come forward with similar experiences. The issue is not the dentist — the dentist is excellent. The problem is the admin and accounts process, which is, frankly, in total chaos. The receptionist sends one email, and if you miss it or it ends up in spam, the practice does not follow up. There is no automated statement system and no further reminders before they proceed straight to collections. My advice: If you choose to use this dentist, make sure you regularly check in with the receptionist or accounts department after every appointment. Confirm whether you owe anything — don’t assume they’ll follow up, because they won’t. I’m sharing this so that other patients don’t end up blindsided, blacklisted, and stressed over tiny amounts that could easily have been settled had we known they existed.
