FIRST IMPRESSIONS LAST.

I have been to many restaurants with family or friends before, and I've never experienced a problem with service or the food.Today I went to this place with my friends and it was the first time that we visited the place seeing that most people were talking about it. It is in the outskirts of Port Elizabeth.On first glance the place is inviting as it is in a secluded area surrounded by nature, very beautiful setup. You must know that today's weather is cold and raining so we ordered hot drinks like hot chocolate, lattes and cappuccinos.The order took something like 30-45 minutes to come and our hot chocolate was tepid.When we complained to the waitress she promised to bring hot fresh ones on the house.After 20 minutes she came saying the kitchen staff refuse to make us any hot chocolate without any explanation.

Ok we let that pass though we were not happy.So it was another 1hr 30mins befire our mains came.Some of us ordered beef sirloin medium rare and well done respectively with mash potato and other veggies. To our disappointment, none of our orders were what we wanted.The meat was bleeding and there was half baked/ roast potatoes instead of the mash that was on the menu.

For desserts we haven't ordered anything yet, bt after our mains we were served something like triangles of chewy brownies with a teas**** sized vanilla ice cream.When we enquired about the dessert cos we wanted to order what was on dessert menu not what they served us.They told us that they thought we already ordered and besides there's no more cheesecake which is what we wanted to order.

The only highlight was that there's lady there who referred to herself as the " hostess " of the restaurant she attended to our complaints and apologised for anything gone wrong, and a guy who was able to replace our tepid hot chocolate and gave us a very hot chocolate.
