South African Relocations - Pathetic Service
<div>They are very friendly when they quote you right up until the point where you pay them. After that you get absolutely no communication back and they just ignore all correspondence thereafter. I moved to the Netherlands in August 2021. Sent my insurance documents to them and had to actually ask for the invoices for this. I sent them numerous emails requesting the invoice. They ignored my mails and did not send me an invoice. My golf clubs valued at R25k did not make it and now I'm trying to claim it back from them. This battle has been going on since my items arrived here in February and up until now they've acknowledged that they messed up but are basically saying that I'm only going to get an apology. Absolutely ridiculous service. They take absolutely no responsibility for their incompetence and cannot be trusted. Do not use them at all. Don't even bother getting a quote from them.</div>
This is inexcusable that you can be so nonchalant about taking care of valuables that are entrusted to you to be delivered safely. There was nothing more I could do from my side to force you to put the insurance in place. You failed and I want an answer as to why?
You tactic now is to ignore all my emails in hope that I will eventually give up. That is not going to happen. I want answers!

I regret to inform you that our stance has not changed and we are unable to process your claim due to the fact that the contribution to your All-Risk cover was never received prior to shipment. I do understand that this slipped through the cracks as your consultant assumed that accounts had invoiced you, but they in fact had not.
As explained by Monique in a previous email sent to you, without the required 3.5% contribution towards the All-Risk cover (based on your evaluation of the goods which were shipped), we cannot simply pay out. You personally would have been aware that you would not have contributed to this prior to shipment. The matter has been escalated as far as possible and we are not able to settle the claim as advised on numerous occasions previously.
Despite being unable to settle the claim, we have done extensive checks for your items and have ensured our overseas partner did the same at theirs without success.
While we regret that we are unable to resolve the matter, the way you would like, I can assure you that actions have been taken internally with individual employees and well as putting tighter controls within the departments to ensure improvement going forward as we do take the feedback seriously and always strive to provide the best possible service.

I was given an estimate quote and was told that my quote would be adjusted once my final volume was determined. I was under the impression that you did not send me an invoice because my total volume was under the quoted amount and the offset amount would cover my insurance. This was obviously an assumption as your agent has not responded to any of my mails since my goods left my house and I have sent numerous emails to him. What am i supposed to do if your agents are ***********? Why is that my problem? When your sales agent came to me he promised me excellent service and ensured me that I had nothing to worry about. We entrust our valuable possessions to you and you have the audacity to say that there is nothing you can do when all the fault here is clearly because you people don't know how to communicate properly and do not do your jobs.
Your agent assured me that my items would be insured from the time they left my house.
I submitted my insurance forms to the agent and requested the invoices for the insurance twice. I had absolutely no response from them and had to continuously ask for feedback.Everything was in your hands to ensure that my items were properly looked after and you failed to do that.
Am I now to understand that even though I sent you all the correct information on time prior to my items being shipped as well as requested my invoices and you did not respond to it, I am now supposed to just accept that my valuables are gone and take the loss even though none of this was in my control?
You are giving me a very poor excuse for your incompetence. You did not do your job and that's the problem. It is unacceptable that you just say that the case is closed.
I have lost my valuables because of this. You should have quality control procedures in place to cover these kinds of cases.
I cannot believe the audacity that you people have giving me this absolute BS response to your pathetic service.
If my items were not insured. That is your fault so you should compensate me for it anyway and not just shift blame to other departments.
i dont care about what ridiculous excuses you have as to why you failed to do such a simple task. Sort the damn problem out and ensure that this does not happen to anyone else in future.

I see that yet again in typical South African Relocations fashion once everything is very clear that you messed up, the tactic is to just stop responding to the clients in hope that they will just drop it.
I have now presented you with all the information together with all the corresponding emails showing you proof that your company did not do their job and messed up with the insurance. The fault in all of this lies entirely on your company.
Can I now safely conclude this is the way you do business. When you mess up you do not have any measures in place to compensate the client but instead just offer your best apology and hope they move on?
If you do respond to this can you please tell me what measures have you put in place to prevent this from happening to other clients?
Also, it would be great if you could please let me know if any information that I have provided is incorrect and if indeed that it is can you please supply me the supporting information as to why you cannot compensate me for my lost items. I would like a detailed explanation of why my items are lost and who at your company is going to take responsibility for fixing this?

I can safely conclude that your failure to respond yet again means that you admit that you *****ed up but aren't willing to do anything to rectify the problem and future clients can expect this kind of service?
