Poor shipping and Huge hidden charges
I would prefer to give a 0 Star, the initial contact and packing was excellent with good communication by Nick, however once the shipment left my premises the nightmare started. Do to poor planning on their side My items arrive +- 8 Months after a 12-14 week delivery time. I was then hit with a delay charge mounting to more then 75% of what the initial shipping charge was. At this point SA Relocations would not deal with anything and referred me to their partner who sent me the invoice.

18 Jan 2023, 14:10Hi Wesley,
As per our discussions via emails, the delays were in no way caused by South African Relocations or in any way due to poor planning as you claim, but rather due to demurrage caused by delays in the port of Rotterdam. The delay between the estimated delivery time and the Neither we or our partners in Europe have any control over this part of the shipping process nor the resultant costs. I do understand and empathise with the financial stress the extra charges can cause our clients and truly wish situations such as yours did not happen, however with many parties being involved in the shipping process, we cannot control every aspect. Please see the attachment I sent by email relating to this matter.
In no way were there hidden costs as out T&C's cover this aspect of the relocation process.
As discussed, we are currently looking at each invoice provided by WFR relating to the demurrage which was charged on the Groupage shipment and will provide further feedback in due course. As the costs resulted at destination, WFR invoice directly to simplify the process, reduce any further delays waiting for payments to clear as well as additional fees for international transfers.

24 Jan 2023, 16:00Hi Tony
As we had discussed, my contract agreement was SA Relocations and not any 3rd party providers. and according to Bianca, who responded to me and WFR, scolded WFR for sending invoices directly to the client, and that she requests details about the invoice.
After many requests, there is still my request for someone to call me and explain in person over the phone what is going on and why it is reasonable my Demurage fees are 75% of my initial invoice, taking total costs to 175% of the original invoiced amount.
Since then I have also asked for a response about my invoice charge for a set m3, yet WFR's invoice for m3 is a lot less. SA Relocations is quick to respond in defense, pointing out T&C's etc etc. but when they overcharge they don't have the decency to respond and seem to approach the problem with if we don't mail back then it will all go away eventually.
I again, will never recommend SA Relocations to even my worst enemy.

27 Jan 2023, 10:23Hi Wesley,
As discussed personally, while we do empathise with your situation, demurrage costs are beyond any removal companies control, and I do unfortunately have to point back to the agreed T&C's and accepted quote which highlight inclusions and exclusions as well as our dealings with 3rd party service providers in the destination country.
Your latest comment points to not being able to speak to someone on the phone, however we did discuss the situation directly. If you need me to call again to provide further clarity, I will gladly do so.
Kind Regards,
