DONT USE SOUTH AFRICAN RELOCATIONS

In November 2023 we booked South African Relocations to move us from Cape Town to Dubai. ANTHONY a very beguiling sales rep sealed the deal. On our pack up day the team arrived, but no supervision as promised by Anthony. He had resigned, we later found out. We sort of ‘smelled a rat’ but due to the intense exhaustion of packing up all your worldly goods, at the age of 70 and 71 after a nasty crime incident, we just concentrated on keeping our heads above water until we could get on the plane. My 71 year old husband did 9000 steps on his Fitbit making sure they packed everything. The Rat in this scenario, surface in the form of phone calls from Anthony Waking us up at the airport hotel after 9 at night asking us to pay the full amount asap. Just a mere 48k. We politely declined . Once in Dubai we tried repeatedly to contact Anthony asking when our goods were leaving. After about 2 weeks we were told Anthony had left. After a month Ashlee called me in Dubai and asked when they could come and pack up our goods to move to Dubai??? And so the confusion continued as the directors and managers hid behind *********** junior staff who had to fob us off. NOT ONCE DID ANY SENIOR MANAGEMENT CALL AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WALL OF SILENCE. Despite the fact that we had paid in full, none could give us any info. FOUR MONTHS LATER WE RECEIVED OUR GOODS. OR SHOULD I SAY PART OF OUR GOODS. Due to the incompetence of this company who were more interested in their Xmas party in Cape Town, so much of our possessions NEVER ARRIVED, antique furniture, all my clothes, glassware, toiletries and the box of ‘Valuables’, that we were assured would be a priority which contained my Mac Book and other irreplaceable documents and photos, are some of the items ******. A PATHETIC ATTEMPT WAS MADE GET THEMSELVES OFF THE HOOK BY SAYING IT WAS OUR FAULT CAUSE WE NEVER INSURED. The Load cost R48k and insurance was 25k!
