Avoid using this company at all costs

I was left at a loss for words at how poor this business is run and have serious concerns that they deliberately mislead people to acquire their business and then at the last minute change the costs, leaving you with no option but to pay.

Moving goods to Tasmania they gave me a quote cheaper than all other providers. I already had a company but cancelled to move to SA renovations. 2 days before collection they contacted me and stated that they made an error and the cost would be double. Without an alternative I agreed. I had sent the dimensions of all boxes to be transported and they quoted accordingly. Once foods were collected and stored they sent me a quote stating their quotation was incorrect and now it was an additional 50% more than the quote. My initial quote was R18000 and I am currently on R53000 paid. They then got the collection date and time incorrect and I sat waiting for them. They the agreed the balance of the payment could be made once goods were on the ship to ensure I had not additional costs incurred. A weekly later I was sent a bill for storage because I had not paid the balance and the goods would not be scheduled for transport until the account was fully up to date. If you continue to read reviews you will see that this is common practice and I have contacted the consumer protector to investigate as to whether this is deliberate or negligence.

A disaster from end to end and I am amazed that they are still operating. I would have used another company but paid the initial quote in full upfront and the company was refusing to refund me. I would have fought further but did not have the luxury of time as we were on a tight timeline to leave.
