response to remarks on SANRG
Good morning , I have seen your review on Hello Peter and I thought it to be very unfair. First of all, we as real estate agents do not do deed searches, the attorneys do. I was not aware that there were interdicts on the property until much later. We as real estate agents confirm the ownership of the property by fica documents. We also ensure that the seller’s disclosure is completed by the Seller. We are not responsible for what the seller does or does not disclose. The seller’s disclosure is for the buyer to use as recourse. However, as you remember when viewing the house for the first time, I disclosed everything in the house. The fact that I was on holiday did not hinder the transaction at all and I was on the phone and on email all the time. I did not miss one email or call. I don’t understand why you even mentioned this. I reminded the seller on numerous occasions to ensure that they had two copies of all keys that included the front door keys, remote for the garage and remote for the main gate. You read his responses. He forgot them in his car. I could not have physically accessed his car to obtain the keys. As for the key hand over. I liaised with Purchaser on WhatsApp. He suggested 5pm on the 17th of October, I then changed it to 16.30 which he agreed to, he then said he could not make it at 4.30 but just before 5pm. I gave him the option to collect the keys at the gate or we could do it the next morning. He said he would collect them from the guards. I gave you an option. You took the one that most suited you best. I would like to just say that on the Sunday before transfer, I interrupted a lunch I had at home four times, by going to the house to try and fix the water issue. Checked that the Electricity was on, did videos of water running out of the tap. I even sent you codes on numerous occasions for you to access the property. The other remote is at the gate because I sent another message to the seller. I did not replace the remote as he confirmed late last night that he was having them dropped off this morning. A remote is R250.00 hardly worth the frustration, I was willing to pay for it had he not dropped them off. I would also like to point our that your email was slightly confusing as you demanded that the remote be dropped off by close of business on the 17th of November but you send the email on Sunday the 19th of November? I understand you are frustrated; but are you sure you are frustrated with us or the seller? Full disclosure, I have sent this to the attorneys as well. I hope you can enjoy your home now and make great memories.
