Terrible Experience at the SACE Office

My experience at the SACE office has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. On Monday, I was turned away because my proof of registration from my school did not have a school stamp. Fair enough—I went back the next day with the stamped document. To my surprise, I was turned away again, this time because the document wasn’t certified. I offered to have my mom (a police officer) certify it and send it to me immediately, but they refused and insisted I apply online.

The whole point of visiting the office was because the online system did not list my school. When I explained this, I was told to just enter the name of a different school—that “it’s fine.” How is it acceptable or professional to advise applicants to provide false information?

The lack of consistency, clear guidance, and basic empathy from the staff is unacceptable. I left the office confused, inconvenienced, and completely let down by a system that is supposed to support and guide educators.
