The SAB Foundation fails to honour their funding agreements.

The SAB Foundation has been a nightmare to deal with.

They choose to fund a number of companies every year, and then drag their feet when it comes to actually giving the money over to the businesses they've chosen to "support". I am yet to find a business that has had an overall pleasant experience dealing with them.

My co-founders and I were supposed to receive a set amount of funding from the foundation over 2 years. It has been 3 and a half years and we have received 60% of the pledged amount. Even though SAB have no doubt already received a tax break from the programme. If you choose to work with them, make sure the money clears in your bank account before you even think of trusting anyone there.

More funding is spent on 3rd party coaches and consultants than the businesses themselves. Every company in their programmes are expected to answer to a coach and a programme manager, if they decide to be difficult and not act as good stewards of finance, you will spend months on end being promised funding you won't see.
