Terrible customer feedback
I bought product from a pick 'n pay liquor. I opened the bottle a few days later to find that the colour does not look right. On drinking it, it taste so bad that I thought something must be wrong. My logic then told me to check the sell by date on the bottle and it turned out that the product has expired. Coming from the industry I don't generally check sell by dates on alcohol upon purchase as I know the SAB reps generally ensure that shops do not keep old product on their shelves. Pick 'n pay liquors did not want to replace the product as I did not have a slip even though the batch number could have been traced. I phoned SAB on Monday and logged a complaint. It has now been 2 days and I have not received any phone call, correspondence or communication from any kind.
I think the lack of communication to the customers is extremely bad for such a successful well known company. Bach number can be traced and slip where this product was sold passed its sell by date can be looked up.
As I work in the supply industry I know that there has to be a trace ability procedure in place according to government law, so this product and purchase has to be able to be traced by batch number. Batch number was given.
Terrible that no gets back to you after a complaint was logged.
