Receptionist or switchboard assistant needs training

I called the switchboard a lady picked up with the lowest tone I asked her to speak louder as she sounded like she’s sleeping or bored, I then asked her to provide me with contact details of another department or put me through she said I’ll put you through to switchboard the phone just went quiet I figured she didn’t put me through I hang up, I called again several times but this time around nobody was picking up, I think SAB should train their staff to be motivated and telephone etiquette.
