Credit / Refund Ripoff

I purchased a Ecco boom box from Soundtech Cornubia in October. The vinyl around the boom box was opening up. I took the boom box back to the Cornubia store. The salesman Ameen says he cannot credit or replace the item as it is after 7 days. So his assistant then decided to glue the boom box vinyl together, which I stand and wait for. What surprise is that on the sales docket it doesn't state return in 7 days but states that they normally don't do refunds but further down the slip it states chose between a refund or exchange. Furthermore if you go onto the website, the same applies. Why do they treat their customers like dirty.
