Poor service and selling blown display unit speakers to customers.

Absolute terrible service I highly suggest to everyone to avoid them as much as possible, Feb I purchased 2 Alto 312 speakers and 2x alto 318s bins, one of the 2 alto 312 speakers was a display unit, they assured us its fine, the other one was sealed in the box, we then purchased it all. when we took the speakers and set them up to see how they all perform we noticed a minor smell from the display unit speaker, we didnt think much of it as we thought it was new and needed to be warn in. We then packed them away, country went into lockdown, now September we took them out of storage set them up gave them a test to see the one that had a slight smell, the woofer was not playing, when we turned up the volume the woofer would play. We then took it back to STS and explained to them that the display unit speaker is giving issues, they sent it away to get back to us saying the woofer is damaged. I then explained to them that, that was a display unit woofer and it had a slight smell from day 1 and we stored it away. They said its not carried under warranty which I agree, but in this circumstance this was a display unit and we all know that when display units get demo`d to customers they get blasted loud. So I try to explain to them that since corona we have had no opportunity to properly test out the speakers until now. I am really disgusted at the handling of this, as I was hoping we would come to an arrangement. Going forward I will not purchase anything from STS and I would strongly suggest anyone else to stay away from them.
