Frustrated and disappointed

I am really frustrated and disappointed after buying a Samsung 40L microwave oven from Sounds Great Kolonnade.

The item was purchased 21 January 2023. After two days we realized that the glass turn table was not rotating. I work in the Free State during the week, and was only able to take the microwave oven back the next Saturday 28 January 2023.

I was told that the item could not be exchanged, since 7 days has already passed. The store manager filed a job card and the request submitted to the supplier for a credit.

I did not receive any feedback for a week, and went back to the store the next weekend, only to realize that nothing had been done. Eventually on 10 February we received a phone call that we can come and collect the microwave, as it had been repaired.

Went back to the store on 11 February to fetch the microwave, but after a few weeks discovered that despite the repair being done, the turn table was still not working - it works for about a minute and then it just seem to get stuck and stand still.

Took it back again on 5 March, and this time the store manager agreed with me that there is obviously something wrong. I also indicated that I don't want it repaired, as I lost fait in the quality of the microwave, especially after reading reviews on the internet.

A job card was completed again, and the store manager said that he now insisted on a refund.

Again a week went by without any feedback from anyone. I went to the store again the next weekend, and was told that the supplier send the microwave back to Sound Great Kolonnade and that a technicician will come out to assess the microwave before a refund can be made.

I followed up again telephonically on 15 March 2023, and still no news.

Today is the 20th of March 2023 and after two months I sit without a microwave and my money! We probably did not even use this microwave for longer than 45 minutes in total when it was with us.

I don't think it will be unfair to clam that I am not being treated fairly by either Sound Great or their supplier Samsung.
