Expensive Units for very poor quality

Last year on the 28th of September(2015) I purchased A music system of value R 20.500 .Amongst the units sold I was recommended a Harman Kardon Amplifier that cost 7,700 by one of the store manager Jason Forbes. Trusting his knowledge of sound I bought this Amp and with it came a 1 YEAR Warranty . During February the amplifier started to malfunction whereby it would switch itself off. I could not use the supp**** remote to control it. I immediately disconnected it and took it to the Shop. It was then taken in for diagnosis at their warehouse. I Was later Informed that the unit had encountered a Power Surge and the Main board was damaged.<br> <br> To my surprise they told me my warranty did not cover the Power surges therefore I need t pay R4,400 for total repairs. The gentlemen highlighted there is nothing he can do I Have to pay. I have been take from pillar to post and I feel my rights were violated and I am also questioning the quality of their product. To this day I am stillat loggerheads with them . I cannot pay that much for something that I hardly used for 6-months.
