Defective Ampilifier

I purchased a new Star Sound Car amp model ST R-5000 at Soundmatch Parow Cape Town. This was on 04/11/2015. I only had a chance to install this amp on 28/11/2015 at a reputable installer by the name of Sounds Dynamic. After installing the amp they advised me that the amp is defective. I returned to Soundmatch Parow on 02/12/2015 to advise them of the defective product. One of the technicians there confirmed that the amp was faulty. I requested a refund or a replacement as the product was faulty out of the box.The manager of the store refused to refund/replace the amp. I was told that they have to send it for assessment before any action can be taken. I advised him that his policy contravenes the CPA, but still he refused. I was very disappointed with the outcome and was sorry that I actually bought this product. I had no choice but to have the amp booked in for assessment ref. no. REP5517G which could take 3-4 weeks.<br> <br> I now have no amp and no refund and still await feedback from this store. Most frustrating consumer experience.<br> <br>
