Beware - of generic

I purchase a pair of BOSE noise canceling headset on the 02/10/2016 (email and POP trail in order) after a previous pair broke. I had that head set for 8 years, they were great. Unfortunately they could not be fixed and was offered a 50% discount on a new white pair. The old set would be destroyed. FINE!

I am particular about my Bose head set, being the only person who used them and took great care of them.

Recently the one head phone stopped working and produced a crackle when handled. I took the set back to Sound Systems, purchased from Paul Murphy who was very surprised of the issue as this was not a common problem. Paul also quickly determined that they were not an original Bose head set. the green light was too bright, a serial number was missing on the battery flap and the foam inside the head set was not standard.

Paul mentioned that the head set looked too new and possibly got swopped along the way. REALLY!!!?

To make matter worse i was told that the GENERIC head set was out of warranty and could now offer me a new pair with 25% discount.

Therefore they admit that they sold me a Generic pair if they willing to give me a discount on a new pair, probably generic again.

Bang and Olufsen - would have been a better choice
