Sotheby's waterfall

We placed an offer on a home in Waterfall, the real estate agent informed us that another offer was accepted. We therefore requested a simple email to confirm that our offer was rejected and she refused to provide us with this. The request was simply to close our offer as it was still valid. We had to instead wait for our offer to lapse before we placed an offer on another home. Instead of being treated as valued potential clients for any new properties that would be listed by Sotheby's we were shouted at over the phone by agent and made to feel inferior. Clearly this is a profit over customer service approach. Will definitely not be dealing with Sotheby's every again!
