I am reporting a *****ulent business operation that is actively ****ming individuals through TikTok and WhatsApp by posing as a travel/rental agency under various names. I nearly became a victim of their **** and have collected multiple pieces of evidence regarding their operation.

Details of the ****: • Platform where contact began: TikTok • WhatsApp business name(s): • Initially: Avery Travels • Then changed to: SOTHE Travels • Finally changed to: SOUK Travels • What they advertise: They post **** home rental listings on TikTok, using images from real property listings (such as Property24 or houses for sale), claiming these are available for rent. These properties do not belong to them. • **** strategy: They ask for a 50% deposit to “secure the property” but refuse to provide the property address, claiming “people break into the houses” as an excuse. When questioned, their answers are inconsistent and suspicious. • Banking Details Given: • They originally sent banking info a month ago and later deleted it from the chat. • On request, they resent banking details in a very unprofessional PDF format, asking for payment to a personal Capitec account under the name: K L Sithole • The tone was informal, and they said: “Please use the details responsibly,” which no legitimate business would say. • **** Identity Used: • Claimed name: Liam Thompson

Why This Is Suspicious and Dangerous: • Comment section on TikTok is turned off to block warnings from others. • They use multiple aliases and change their name frequently to avoid detection. • Their listings include ****** photos and addresses that do not exist or belong to people unaware their homes are being used. • I found several complaints about them online — including on: • HelloPeter • Google Reviews • TikTok posts by other victims (I have videos/screenshots of these). • There is a video from a woman who lost R3,100 after paying them for a rental. • The security guard at At Pecanwood Estate, Hartbee****rt, confirmed that many people come daily saying they booked accommodation that doesn’t exist — all linked to this group.

What Needs to Happen: • This operation must be investigated and shut down immediately. • Their TikTok accounts must be reported and removed. • Their bank account must be flagged as a *****ulent account. • Legal action must be taken against those involved for online *****, impersonation, and financial crime.
