THEFT, ******ION, *********, ETC.....

June 2015, I searched google for company's that could assist in giving my company a quote to repair and service our roller door motors.

SOS Industrial Doors, offered to come out and inspect and advise.

The workers then advised that they didnt' ahve the tools to inspect he motors on our property and had to take the motors and railings back to their warehouse in Roodepoort.

I was insistent that I only required a quote and there would be no authorisation for any repairs until a quote was received.

After a week of no communication, I telephoned the number given, only for it to permanently go to voicemail. Eventually I decided to email, to no avail.

Eventually after numerous emails, I received a quote for R11 268.00, I declined the quote and requested that our goods be returned immediately to our premises. Again no response via telephone nor email.

I sent an email on the 10th August 2016 which was eventually answered, which I enquired if this was a quote or an invoice. The reply I received, verbatim, "This is a quote not a invoice no repairs has been done."

I thought finally, a reply and asked for our belongings to be returned as the quote had been declined.

Still no reply nor answering of any telephone calls.

I eventually sent my driver through to the warehouse to go collect our belongings. As my driver does, he calls in advance. This is when I got a telephone call from Anne saying I cannot just send people to the warehouse, firstly no one is at the warehouse and secondly I owed money for labour? When I started questioning what labour charges, why wasn't anything sent to me. Anne put the phone down in my ear.

I then sent an email stating I was going to send my driver again today (20/01/2017) to collect our belongings as well as open a docket of THEFT since they refused to return our belongings. I decided to phone in advance to warn Anne that my driver is on the way, only to be told that there was no one at the warehouse, they were all in Groblersdal (for the last 2 days they have been there). I asked for the manager / owner's name and number (Peet), which I dialled and got right back to Anne.

I then advised Anne that she best give Peet a message to give me a call back.

If I don't receive any feedback, I will personally be going to their offices, with the police in tow.

I have added the only other 2 reviews I have found on hellopeter.com.

I find their service, actually their entire business a sham and warn everyone and anyone DO NOT USE SOS INDUSTRIAL DOORS in Roodepoort.

As can be seen, these reviews are old and yet, amazingly no response from the company at all.

Review 1:

********* EXTORSION *****

When looking for someone to repair an industrial roller shutter door I searched the net and find a great website for SOS INDUSTRIAL DOORS. A call to determine that free quotes were given and the so called technician was on site a few hours later. I was informed that the door would have to be taken down so that the quote could be done. With no access equipment brought along we assisted the guys to get up to the door and remove the shaft. Unfortunately I do not live in JHB and had to leave prior to the door being finally removed only to find out the next day that the door had been removed from the site without my knowledge. An exorbitant quote was submitted for the repairs. When I asked for the parts to be returned so that other quotes could be obtained I was promised that this would be done. After two weeks and almost 15 calls no parts were returned and I am finally told by Anne who seems to answer all five numbers listed including PEET BOONZAAIER [Email Removed] and told that i have to pay R1800 plus VAT for a call out and labor, no payment upfront no parts returned. THIS IS ********* AND ******ION!!!!! BEWARE OF SOS INDUSTRIAL DOORS ALSO KNOWN AS TILLEY MC MILL AND PEET

Review 2:

Do NOT fall for SOS's \service"offer of R85.00"""
Published by Bridget on Jun 11, 2015

Report this review
Do NOT fall for SOS's \service"offer of R85.00"""

SOS Ind Doors called me to say they will service my roller doors on the factory for R85.00 per door - all in. I said my doors were working fine and I didn't't think they needed a service. the lady convinced me that they do need grease from time to time so I agreed for them to do 3 x doors at R85 each ALL IN.
They arrived and did two doors quickly and then when they got to the third they called me and said the spring was wound incorrectly and they needed to replace the spring. so I assumed they had a spring in their van as they where the \service"team. they said not and said they would take away the thing and be back in 2 hours. I asked if it was a big job and when they said NO I agreed. also judging by the two hour turnaround I assumed it was a small thing as their workshop is 45 minute drive from my factory. More than 24 hours later they arrived with the shaft back and a bill for R6700.00!!! I called the office and asked if they were joking but apparently not. They said the door was broken and needed a new shaft"
