Soft gel tips

On January 10, 2025, I visited Sorbet Mall at Reds, and unfortunately, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. My initial plan was to do an acrylic overlay on both my hands and feet. However, upon arrival, I was told that it wasn’t possible because my nails were “too small.” This puzzled me as I’ve had overlays done before without any issue. The staff also claimed that acrylic overlays would hurt in closed shoes, but later I realized they simply didn’t have a nail tech available for acrylics that day.

I decided to settle for gel nails instead, which wasn’t a problem at first. The staff was polite and tried to assist, but they struggled to find someone to work on both my hands and feet. Eventually, someone was available, but she didn’t even ask for my preferences. She gave me coffin tips without consulting me, which wasn’t what I wanted.

The entire process was poorly handled. The nail prep was extremely rough and painful. My nails weren’t cleaned properly, and by the time the session was done, my nails looked terrible: uneven, bumpy, and lacking any proper structure or shape. Each nail had its own random “coffin” shape, which was completely unacceptable.

The next day, on January 11, I returned to have the nails soaked off because I couldn’t live with how poorly they had been done. The same nail tech handled the removal and, again, was rough and careless. The filing hurt so much that my nails started to bleed. She didn’t even soak off the nails properly, leaving residue all over.

The experience was so awful that I asked for a refund, and they gave me a voucher instead. I’ll use it to purchase something or maybe for waxing, but one thing is certain: I will never go back to Sorbet.
