*********** and arrogant service by Sandra

I went to Sorbet's Drybar today (to which I've been before) for an acrylic overlay and a quickie pedi. When I arrived, I was assigned Sandra for my first acrylic overlay at this establishment, and another technician to whom I was introduced to do my quickie pedi. Whilst my overlays were being done, I enquired after my pedicure, but Sandra advised me that she would now be doing both. I asked her to ensure that she would use "all the drying products" possible for my nails, and she assured me that my fingernails would be dry by the time that my toes were painted. She then painted on a clear coat at the end, which she confirmed was for drying and a top coat in one product.

Because Sandra took it upon herself to seemingly poach the pedi commission from her colleague, two hours and twenty minutes after I arrived, my file and paint pedi had just been concluded, but my nail varnish on fingers and toes was still wet. When I asked Sandra about a drying formulation, she said that Sorbet only uses an unmarked spray bottle but that the spray makes the OPI polish bubble. I asked about drying drops, and she told me that I should contact Head Office if I want to know why Sorbet would only stock something that reportedly bubbles the varnish as opposed to something like OPI or Essie's drops (said sarcastically).

Claiming that OPI varnishes take 30 minutes to dry, she then walked off, shouting to her colleague to "refund it all", as I also complained that her attitude was so poor after I'd spent in excess of R500 and two-and-a-half hours there already. It's a great pity to no longer have this branch available to me as its location is convenient with the surrounding stores, but I shall return to the Bedfordview Village View franchise. Besides having the top coat painted over parts of my cuticles and sharp, skew edges to some of my fingernails, Sandra kept walking away from me to other areas in the salon, while I sat with my cane, waiting to continue my discussion with her regarding some kind of drying assistance to salvage my time and money. I believe that her idea of customer service will ultimately be of further detriment to the store if it continues. Good luck to the franchisee.
