Horrible Service at Sorbet in Pavillion
Today (1 May 2016) I went to Sorbet at The Pavillion and received atrocious service... When I walked in today only one consultant smiled and greeted me. I was then directed to sit at the nail bar, the reception was cold and unwelcoming. I had felt victimised as I had already laid a complaint during that week with sorbet head office, who have not yet responded to my email during the week( I was making the appointment for today and the consultant who answered got irritated with me asking for their times and had “muttered “Oh God"). The consultant that had attended to me to me today did not greet nor introduce herself before commencing with the treatment. She then inquired if this was a Soak Off treatment after me correcting them twice whilst booking that I was doing gel tips on my hands and feet. Before she started I asked again if my voucher would cover both the treatments and whether I still qualified for the 50 % birthday special price reduction. She then abruptly told it would be R35 -00 over the voucher amount to which I agreed, and commenced with the treatment in complete silence only very abruptly asking me what length I would like my nails to be. The only time she spoke was to the receptionist, in another language, and I could not help but feel it was about me. She was rougher than usual and the body language showed irritation... After proceeding with the treatment in silence for 45 minutes I asked why is it that I am receiving such bad service, she raised her eyebrows, looked at me and said “who is giving bad service?” I responded and said that everyone besides the lady that opened the door for me, had been very cold and unwelcoming towards me. Arrogantly she said” well the other girls talk I just come here to do my job, I asked you what length you want your nails what more do you want me talk about”. Still keeping my calm I said its bad customer service to treat your clients so coldly. She then kept her head down and ignored me and it seemed that she was then extra rough with my treatment. I then had to proceed to sit with her for another hour and a half whilst she did my pedicure and spoke to the other ladies sitting next to her. When I went to reception I complained about the bad service, whilst the consultant (Phumla) stood by and just stared at me. The receptionist apologised and then tells me that I owe R235.00, as I had the information about the birthday special wrong. I refused to pay the R200.00 and only paid the R35.00. I said that I had verified 4 times over the phone and then before my treatment if the voucher covers the amount. Never before have I ever felt so victimised and so unwelcomed in a place of business. This should have been a relaxing morning yet I just feel stressed and upset.
