When spit (snot) is said to be potato starch

<p>We are regular customers of the Sooshee Restaurant in Strand, we go there at least twice a month for the sushi buffet. So yesterday we went again, and we ordered the Tom Yum soup, when we received it we were really dissappointed as it was watery, had no flavour (I had to add my own sugar to give it some taste), so we sent it back and the waiter asked if he could arrange us another bowl and he would make sure it tastes better, so we agreed to it. When we got it back we ate from it, it tasted like it always does, but more than halfway through my boyfriend discovered something slimey in our soup. We poked it with the chop stick to see what it was and it looked just like someone had spit their disgusting snot glob into our food. Now we are not difficult customers, but this is just disgusting!!! When you present a soup that has normally has a strong flavour to it and then all of a sudden tastes like water, anyone would want to send it back. <br />When we approached the staff, the manager had already gone home, they just said it is potato starch that they used to thicken the soup with. So we left it at that, but then we googled a bit an NO WHERE does it indicate that potato starch looks like a snot glob when mixed with liquid. I am sorry, but I DO NOT believe that stupid story they spun us.</p> <p>Sooshee, you have lost two loyal customers, forever. We are disgusted!</p>
