Z3 Screen Shattered

I recently upgraded to the Sony Xperia Z3. Its a great phone, with amazing features. I was advocating Sony Xperia to all who would listen! Then 1 month after I got the phone, it fell out my pants pocket when I bent over, and the screen shattered. This left the phone totally useless!<br> <br> I sent the phone in for repair, and after approximately 3 weeks of sitting without a phone, I get the bill of R6000! That is approximately 60% of a new phones cost! I am very disappointed at how easily the screen shattered, and that when it did break it left the phone completely useless. This would be easily repairable, except the repair is not affordable! How is it possible that the screen alone can constitute 60% of the total cost of the phone? <br> <br> It seems as though I will now be left without the use of my beloved Z3 because of the exorbitant price of repair!<br> <br> I would advise anyone to look at other manufacturers such as Samsung who give free screen repairs, else you to could be left without the use of your brand new top of the range smartphone!
