Waterproof Lies

<p>I had a Sony Xperia Z1 on contract through MTN. The phone was advertised for its underwater capabilities and I thought it was a great feature. So in December 2015 I decided to take some under water pics in my brother's pool in PE. So I checked and checked again that all the tabs were properly closed and proceded. BIG MISTAKE!!! Shortly afterwards the phone started acting up. I returned it to MTN for repairs under warranty. Well my phone was returned this week (August 2016) stating that my warranty was voided due to water damage. I emailed Sony International and they were not taking responsibility for their useless product. Sony South Africa is hopeless. They did not even respond. So now I sit with an expensive battery a.k.a. Sony Xperia Z1. I will never buy another Sony product again and I have successfully pursuaded 37 people from buying their waterproof phones. My aim is 1000!! That is what you get for a bad product and poor backup service. And guys do not put much stock in the two year warranty offered by cellphone companies. </p>
