'Water damaged' phone Sony Z3 Compact - Vodacom

Being an avid Sony fan for the past 20 odd yrs I decided to purchase a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact - the phone was taken out on a contract with Vodacom. After approximately one month after owning the phone I dropped it off my boat whilst fishing, needless to say I never saw the phone again as it sank to the bottom of the dam. I then decided to purchase the same unit as I was extremely impressed with the camera and overall feel of the phone and did not want to have to continue paying the contract without having the same quality phone. The replacement phone which I paid cash for was now to be be treated with utmost care which I honestly feel I did. The phone although advertised was never fully submerged in water, the only time when the phone got wet was on one occasion when I decided to rinse under a tap due to dirt of screen(all ports closed). At the beginning of Dec 2015 my phone went blank, roughly 2 mnths after rinsing under tap the one time. I returned the phone to Vodacom and was told the unit has water damage. After about 2 weeks with Vodacom it was then sent to another repair centre in JHB where it took a further week or two only to find out the same thing, water damage beyond re.
