Sony Z3 not Waterproof

The Sony Z3 is not as waterproof as per Sony's adverti*****ts.<br> <br> After seeing all the adverti*****ts I was sold on the Z3 seeing that it is IP68 rated. About a month ago a thought that I would put the camera to test to see how the quality of underwater photos would look like. I ensured that all of the ports are firmly closed and proceeded to expose the phone to around 30cm of water in my swimming pool. The phone came out fine, but 2 hours after the phone was removed from the water the screen started flickering and eventually died.<br> <br> The phone was handed in at my local Vodacom retail centre (Centurion Mall) and send off for repairs at Sony. On 28 April I phoned Vodacom to enquire about the status of repair and was informed that Sony Mobile would not proceed to repair the phone as it has obtained liquid damage. The phone is on route back to the Vodacom outlet. <br> <br> I find this totally unacceptable and frustrating. How can you market a phone that is waterproof but not warrant repairs to the phone due to liquid damage. Surely if the ports were closed then the phone shouldn't have obtained any liquid damage thus the phone is defective. <br> I'm looking forward to Sony's official
