SONY XPERIA Z3
Greetings
I have a Sony xperia z3 cellphone still under warranty.
The advertising shows that you can take pics underwater, one of the features. I took some underwater pics of a 3 yr old in the very shallow end of a home swimming pool. After about the 3rd time, my screen went blank and I immediately knew that somehow the inside of the phone got wet. I took it into Vodacom and they sent it off to their advanced repair centre and they then came back to say that the phone is water damaged and it would cost R4000 to fix. I told them that I would not pay for the cost of the repair as the phone is still under warranty and its advertised with shots taken in the water and that for me is misleading advertising . Vodacom then comes back with reports PH levels and that Sony has changed its stance regarding waterproofing. they also then sent me these links [URL Removed] [URL Removed] after the incident. Have they made the public aware? today I receive an sms from Vodacom stating that the phone is at its branch in canal walk ready collection, but not repaired.
